5-Day Photography Workshops

Our first two Roadtrip! workshops have been a fantastic success so we have returned in 2008 with an all new Roadtrip! workshop. In the spirit of a good old fashioned road trip, we are pleased to announce this unique photographic adventure. Our destination is the heart of the Minnesota Bog Country, Effie Minnesota and the North Star Stampede. Our field shoots include, small towns, prairies, peat bogs, pine forests, rodeos, nature preserves, and wildlife sanctuaries. During the workshop there will be instructional sessions on image capture, digital raw conversion, field shoot instruction, and review of images made during the workshop. A special follow up presentation will allow participants to share their work with family and friends. Over the last two years this follow-up presentation has proved to be the highlight of the workshop, it has brought participants back from as far away as Boston Massachusetts. Cost: $1995.00 (Payment schedule on request.) Maximum 12 participants. Cost is inclusive for 5 day field trip, including transportation from and to South Mpls, meals, lodging. Lodging is based upon double occupancy, single option if available is extra. Costs do not include event admission fees (if any), film, processing, accommodations or transportation to the follow up presentation, and out of pocket expenses. If you are flying in from out of state contact us prior to your reservations, we will work with you to help you arrange your flights, any hotel accommodations needed prior to or post workshop, and ground transportation around Minneapolis (many times we can provide this free.)

Lake Superior Shores, The South Shore and Michigan's UP

June 2009

This workshop combines the adventure of a South Shore photographic road trip with the educational and career opportunity of a Gallery Exhibition. Participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to exhibit their work in the gallery at a special follow-up exhibit. Field shoots will include: historic fishing villages and early settlements, abandon mining camps, river gorges, Lake Superior shorelines, vistas, and much more. Our photographic journey will begin in Port Wing Wisconsin, and conclude in Copper Harbor Michigan. During the workshop there will be instructional sessions on image capture, digital raw conversion, field shoot instruction, and review of images made during the workshop. At follow up sessions, either in person or via internet you will learn how to edit images, assemble a body of photographic prints for exhibit, how to approach and present to a gallery, and how to work with them once you have been accepted.
